Good Design VII - Starck X

This bathroom looks larger than my entire apartment. I love the chair like toilet, the free-standing washbasins, the over-flowing bathtub, the mirrors, the look, everything. Starck X range by Duravit is supposedly one of the most expensive in the world and has been designed by Phillipe Starck. That toilet on the right hand side costs a cool 1.25 lacs and the bathtub comes with a tag of 6.75 lacs. Money! Money! Money!

True, it is very expensive. In the price of all the items shown in this picture one can buy 1bhk anywhere between Andheri to Borivali.

While modern design has a wow factor, I find it too cold & impersonal to actually live in. Great for a few days but it gets to me eventually.

Ameet: I think even modern design can be used to make a house warm and personal. It depends upon the person putting things together/designing. As far as the picture I have used in the post is concerned, it does look like a very Cold and impersonal place.

You never who will pop into Dani's blog. That's a cool bathroom but it would be weird to parade around in front of that huge picture window unless you had a huge estate and you knew no one could see in.
